2nd Month and... Wow!

Some people say that the first trimester is the worst. April's sick everyday. Sometimes all she has to do is smell food and she's ready to hurl. I think it's making me sick too :). Supposedly the morning sickness will go away in a few more weeks. We're hoping.

I've heard pregnancy (at least at this stage) compared to long-term PMS. That seems about right to me. Thankfully April doesn't really have mood swings during PMS, and she hasn't had them so far while pregnant. She is tired a lot. Sometimes she goes to bed at 7:30.

She's on Spring Break this week. It's a good thing, she needs the rest.

Hey you guys, congratulations from up here in America. Your's is not the first Yorke baby of your generation, but it will the first in a long time that will be born in a foreign, third world country.

David, I apologize for being a lousy uncle. I was supposed to have a man to man talk with you years ago, but I never got around to it. Apparently you figured it out on your own. Good for you.

Having a baby is great fun, all day, all night. Children don't really make you live longer...it just feels like it. Especially at night when they are so excited about being your kid that they wake you up every hour and a half to say Hi.

I'm happy for you, and I look forward to following this story as it unfolds. I'm particularly looking forward to the next trimester when we don't have to read about hurling and bad smells anymore. I mean, that's good drama, and good contrast for the bliss ahead - it makes the end of the journey that much more of a relief so don't hold back.

    Love,
    Carl
